6 DAYS 5 NIGHTS ORANG UTAN LAKE TOBA TOUR

DAY 1 : KUALA NAMU - MEDAN – BOHOROK / BUKIT LAWANG

KNO - Bohorok / Bukit Lawang ± 130 km ± 3,5 hrs drive.

Arrive at Medan Kuala Namu airport before 12 pm, meet and greet then drive to north-westward for about 3.5 hours to Bohorok, orang utan center. En route passing through several small towns followed by vast view of rubber and oil palm plantations with some countryside landscape. Stop to see palm oil plantation from outside. If it’s in season you can stop to see local “rambutan” and cacao garden, also stop to see local market in Kuala. Arrive in Bohorok, check-in at hotel.

DAY 2 : BOHOROK TREKKING TO SEE THE ORANG UTANS - MEDAN

Bohorok / Bukit Lawang - Medan ± 90 km ± 3 hrs drive.

After breakfast, start on a 3 hrs jungle trekking where you can see the semi or wild Orangutans. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you to the excitement of the Sumatra rainforest. Here you have the opportunity to see several species of indigenous flora and fauna. If you are lucky you may encounter Orang Utan, leaf monkey, macaque, gibbons, siamang and abundant bird life. Walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes. Trekking pace will be adjusted with clients's stamina. Back to hotel. After the trek transfer to Medan via rubber and oil-palm plantation road in 3 hrs time. Check in hotel.

DAY 3 : MEDAN - BRASTAGI - PARAPAT - SAMOSIR ISLAND

Medan - Brastagi ± 65 km ± 2,5 hrs ; Brastagi - Parapat ± 140 km ± 4 hrs / Parapat - Samosir by boat 45 mins.

After breakfast leave for Brastagi - a highland resort with its refreshing weather and magnificent mountain scenery, through some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra. Reaching Brastagi visit Taman Lumbini, Golden Burmese Pagoda and the fruit market of Brastagi. Continue to Parapat famous lake resort lies on the east shore of Lake Toba. On the way, visit traditional Batak Karo village. Stop at Sipisopiso with its 120m high waterfall and very scenic view over lake Toba. Proceed to Parapat through vegetable and fruits plantations, pine tree forests and some spectacular views of Lake Toba. Arrive in Parapat, leave for Samosir, an Island in the center of Lake Toba by public boat in one hour time. Check in hotel.

DAY 4 : SAMOSIR ISLAND TOUR HALFDAY BY BOAT

After breakfast start on Samosir Tour halfday by motorboat. Visit the Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok. Then to Ambarita, a traditional village with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditional house. Back to hotel. Rest of the day free on own activities to explore the beauty of Samosir Island. You can walk around the island, rent bicycles ( own expenses ) or just swimming and sun bathing.

DAY 5 : SAMOSIR – PARAPAT – MEDAN CITY TOUR

Samosir - Parapat by boat ± 45 mins ; Parapat - Medan ± 175 km ± 4 hrs.

Morning free time at Samosir Island. In the afternoon return to Parapat by public ferry then depart for Medan. En route, first three hours passing by vast view of rubber, oil palm plantations, paddy terraces, etc and small towns such as Pematang Siantar and Tebing Tinggi. Arrive in Medan, Start city tour of Medan visit Maimoon Palace, the palace of Old Deli Kingdom. Also visit The Temple of East Mountain, a Chinese temple with its unique characteristics. Check in hotel.

DAY 6 : TRANSFER OUT / DEPARTURE

Medan - apt ± 40 km ± 60-90 mins.

Free on own activities until transfer time to airport. Based on current traffic, we will transfer clients to airport from hotel 4 hours before dept flight.
