Tour Description / Itinerary
DAY 1 : MEDAN - PARAPAT - SAMOSIR ISLAND
Arrive at airport, meet and greet at the airport then depart for Parapat – famous mountain and lake resort on the east shore of the immense volcanic Lake Toba, about 175 km from airport. En route, first hour pass by several small towns and then followed by vast view of rubber, oil palm plantations, paddy terraces, etc. Stopover at Paten, local snack shop for toilet break. Arrive in Parapat, cross over to Samosir Island, an island in the middle of Lake Toba in 45 mins by public ferry. Check in hotel.
DAY 2 : SAMOSIR ISLAND TOUR HALFDAY BY BOAT
After breakfast start on Samosir Tour halfday by motorboat. Visit the Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok. Then to Ambarita, a traditional village with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditional house. Back to hotel. Rest of the day free on own activities to explore the beauty of Samosir Island. You can walk around the island, rent bicycles ( own expenses ) or just swimming and sun bathing.
DAY 3 : SAMOSIR ISLAND - PARAPAT - BRASTAGI
After breakfast free time at Samosir. Noon cross back to Parapat by public ferry then depart for Brastagi via the Ring Road of Lake Toba. En route pass by pine tree plantation, the magnificent scenery of Lake Toba, fertile vegetable and fruit farms. Visit the slender Sipiso-piso Waterfall which drops into Lake Toba from hundred of meter height. Arrive in Brastagi, a refreshing mountain resort dominated by two active volcanoes, check in hotel.
DAY 4 : BRASTAGI - MEDAN
After breakfast, visit the fruit market of Brastagi. Depart for Medan via some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra in three hours time. Visit Taman Lumbini, Golden Swedagon Pagoda. Continue for Medan via Sibolangit. Arrive in Medan, city tour of Medan. Visit the temple of East Mountain, a Chinese Temple with its unique characteristic and Maimoon Palace of old Deli Sultanate. Check in hotel.
DAY 5 : DEPATURE
After breakfast free on own activity until time to be transferred to airport for dept. Based on current traffic we always trsf clients 4 hours before dept time.
