The Dauarato traditional village at its inception only consisted of Mau Luan with its sister Rasi Bui Luan and 2 tribal houses, then over time it developed into 12 tribes. The condition of the Dauarato traditional village is currently well maintained, the area of the traditional village is about 400 meters and there are 7 tribal houses built using natural materials surrounded by natural stone arrangements. Not far from here, we'll see a historical relic: Makes Fort, located on the hilltop of Dirun Village, Lamanen District, Belu Regency. This fort is also known locally as the 7-Layer Fort or Ranu Hitu Fort because it has seven layers of entrances and exits through the back door. This fort predates the Portuguese colonial era. It served as the primary defense of the Dirun Kingdom during inter-tribal wars. Makes Fort was also a place for warriors to strategize and test their immunity by cutting their own flesh. The fort has changed hands several times. Most recently, it was controlled by three local tribes: the Loos, Sri Gatal, and Monesogo. Next stop will be Sonaf Maslete, or Maslete Palace. This is one of the royal centers in the Bikomi region. It is inhabited and ruled by the clan and their descendants.
