Tour Description / Itinerary
DAY 1 : PANGKALAN BUN AIRPORT / HOTEL - KUMAI – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP – HOUSEBOAT
Our local guide will meet and greet you upon your arrival at Iskandar airport in Pangkalan Bun. Transfer to Kumai and start cruising up the Kumai and Sekonyer River. Enjoy your first lunch with our traditional food on the kelotok. After 2 hour cruising deeper of Sekonyer River, we will stop by the jetty of Tanjung Harapan Camp to see orangutans in their natural habitat. It takes short trekking around 20 minutes to get to the orangutans feeding platform. Feeding time in Tanjung Harapan starts at 3 pm. When you are ready, we walk back to the boat and start cruising up Sekonyer River. It is a good time to watch Proboscis monkeys and other wild animal by the river. Free time in the evening and have supper on the kelotok. Dinner on boat Stay overnight on the Kelotok.
DAY 2 : PONDOK TANGGUI-TREE PLANTING AT JERUMBUN-HOUSEBOAT
After breakfast, go upstream of Sekonyer river and heading to Pondok Tanggui Camp to see Orangutan at 9 am. Enjoy the show until 10 am. Back on the boat, lunch on the boat. After visiting the feeding station, back to the boat - Go upstream and visit jerumbun camp for tree planting about 45 minutes trekking to get there. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
DAY 3 : CAMP LEAKEY-HOUSEBOAT
Afterwards breakfast, we will continue up river to Camp Leakey. On arrival in Leakey Camp, walk up to the camp to see the Orangutan Information Center. Continue the tour to see the orangutan feeding at 2 pm, enjoy your times till 4 pm. Dinner on the boat Overnight on boat.
DAY 4 : HOUSEBOAT – TREEKING AND CANOEING-SEKONYER VILLAGE –TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP
After breakfast, cruising down into Sekonyer Village. Prepare for trekking about 2,5 hour to deeper jungle of borneo, along the way you might see wild orangutan, proboscis monkey, and various birds, afterwards go back to boat by canoe cross small river, lunch on the boat. In the afternoon you have another opportunity to see an orangutan feeding camp at 3 pm, afterwards we will visit the Village of Sekonyer near the jetty of Tanjung Harapan Camp to see daily activity of the local people. Sekonyer Village an optional program, you can talk to your guide about these options Have supper and overnight on boat.
DAY 5 : HOUSEBOAT – KUMAI –AIRPORT/HOTEL
After Breakfast Boating to Kumai town and then Pangkalan Bun airport or hotel.
